A sword, a sword, sharpened and polished
Sharpened for the slaughter of the Image of God
Yes a sword, a sword, to gut the flesh of life
Behold the demise of God's creation
Die
Blot out the sons of men
Repent over Your creation
For Thy crown of Thorns was of the earthen soil
And Satan a finger of the shrouded left hand
Angels sound the trumpets for the Lord's vengeance
A blackened sun and a bloody moon adorn the heavens
The Son of God, for all to see
Wielding a sword, Jesus weeps
I don't really like black metal much. But... this is pitched far enough from the archetypes of the genre that I can actually enjoy it as the beautiful piece of progressive metal that it is. Lethologica82
I'm not sure bands like Death, Morbid Angel, Mayhem (OLD) or Darkthrone ever quite imagined something like this... Extreme metal has come a very long way, and albums such as this one are not only amazing in and of themselves, but likely also hint at a very strange future for metal indeed... dyingstarsinmyeyes
An infatuating illustration of technical composition that has me returning on a more than regular basis. Hard to believe such an incredible amount of audible bereavement could be conjured and expelled instrumentally by a single human being.
Clutching, demanding, enthralling repertoire of hymnal dissonance; Armory of decadent upheaval with a dismayingly lethal vorpal caliber. Grievous will grip you by the throat and forcibly learn you something you have only little knowledge of. You will listen. Inveterate༒Mendaciousness
